Pamela Hupp born on October 10, 1958, is an American murderer serving a life sentence at Chillicothe, Missouri Correctional Facility for the 2016 shooting death of Louis Gumpenberger at his home in O'Fallon, Missouri. Pamela Hupp attended Riverview Gardens High School and grew up in Dellwood, a St. Louis, Missouri suburb. Hupp's claim that he shot Gumpenberger, who was mentally and physically disabled, in self-defense when he chased him into his home with a knife was not accepted by law enforcement. He ultimately entered an Alford plea before going to trial on charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

In his youth, he held several jobs in the life insurance industry; Twice, he was fired for forging signatures. In 2001, Hupp and her husband settled in O'Fallon, Missouri, where she worked as a manager for State Farm and remodeled neighboring homes through a company called H2 Partners LLC. By 2010, Hoop had stopped working and was claiming disability benefits for back, leg and neck pain.
