The employee of the U.S. Senate who engaged in sexual activities in a high-profile location on Capitol Hill and was caught on tape has lost his job after facing an investigation by the police. The person depicted in the footage, initially published by The Daily Caller and has since circulated online, has been identified as Aidan Messé-Chežetropsky, a 24-year-old assistant to Democratic Maryland Senator Ben Cardin.
The exact timing of the recording is unclear, but TDC has obtained and posted the footage on its site. Allegedly, Messé-Chežetropsky was involved in a sexual encounter within the Hart Senate Office Building's judicial branch chambers with another individual. Reports suggest that it is a location where scrutiny or surveillance is relatively minimal, raising implications for SCOTUS-appointed individuals.
The camera is held by the person entering the room, capturing both Messé-Chežetropsky and the other individuals who are engaging in sexual activities. The scene depicts the two men having sex in a position often assumed by senators seated on the bench, looking towards the table where witnesses/appointees typically sit.
Previously, a staff member linked the incident with Senator Cardin, and a spokesperson from his office confirmed that Messé-Chežetropsky is no longer employed, stating, "Aidan Messé-Jeropsky is not employed by Senator Cardin or the U.S. Senate. We will have no further comment on these former employees."
Aidan has addressed the controversy, with a circulated message on his LinkedIn profile stating, "This has been a challenging time for me because I have been attacked for who I love. I am passionate about following a political agenda." He added, "While some past actions have shown vulnerability, I will always love my work and never disrespect my field. Any attempt to stigmatize my actions will be futile."
It's worth noting that Capitol Police are investigating whether any laws were violated in this incident. Aidan has worked for Cardin since 2021 and was previously an intern for Dianne Feinstein.
