Captain Pete Fini of the Midtown Township Police Department informed NBC News that Justin Mohan, 32, is accused of murdering his father, Michael Mohan.

Justin Mohan was apprehended on charges of first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse, and possession of an instrument of crime with intent, according to court documents published Wednesday morning. He was brought in at 4 a.m. and denied bail, Fini said.

In the YouTube video, Mohan is seen wearing gloves and holding his father's head in a plastic bag. Later, the head is seen in a cooking pot.

Mohan claimed that his father had been a federal employee for 20 years and mentioned him as a traitor, informing all federal workers of their impending deaths, President Joe Biden's administration, the Black Lives Matter movement, the LGBTQ+ community, and Antifa activists. The YouTube video, which is more than 14 minutes long, was posted several hours after it was filmed.

In a statement, a spokesperson for YouTube stated that the video had been removed due to a strict policy against graphic violence and extreme violent content.

"The video has been removed for violating our policy on graphic violence and extreme violent content and Justin Mohan's channel has been terminated in alignment with our policy on violent extremism," the statement said.

The Bucks County District Attorney's Office stated in a release late Tuesday that the Midtown Township Police were called to the township's upper Orchard Drive near the New Jersey border around 7 p.m. to report a dead man.

According to the release, "the call came from the victim's wife." When officers arrived, they identified the deceased man in the bathroom.

The release also stated that the police have taken an interested party into custody who was the deceased person's son.

Police Chief Joseph Bartorilla told reporters that the son was not at the residence when the police arrived, but was apprehended about 100 miles away and arrested just before 11:30 p.m.

He was apprehended near Fort Indiantown Gap in Pennsylvania, where there is a National Guard training facility.

It was not immediately clear why he was in that area.

Police initially informed NBC News late Tuesday that they were aware of a YouTube video that could be related to this event and that the video was secured.

Both individuals in the video were identified as Justin Mohan, and the same video was already known to law enforcement officials.

It was a matter of how the investigation would be affected by the outcome, which was stated very quickly, he said.

"The process of relocating Justin Mohan to our jurisdiction for safekeeping is underway and he will likely be arraigned on charges tomorrow morning," Fini added.

It also emerged Tuesday morning that Mohan had filed at least three lawsuits against federal agencies, alleging that they had neglected to forgive him for student loans taken out while he was a student at Penn State University between 2010 and 2014, according to court filings.

He paid $2,000 in filing fees and after his claims were dismissed, he sought to remove himself from the case as a pro se litigant, arguing that it was a personal bias and a selfish personal financial interest, a court filing shows.

One of the legal opinions in the case characterized Kearney's allegations as "completely speculative and without basis in fact" and described Mohan's allegations as "a disgruntled college graduate's false claims."

If you want to know whether there was any previous communication between the person in the video and the police, Lieutenant Stephen Forman, a detective with the Midtown Township Police, said there were several contacts between them, some 10 years ago and some recent.

He said the investigation was active and ongoing, and they hope to hold a news conference in the morning.

Fini told NBC News on Wednesday morning that both YouTube videos featured Justin Mohan and that the same video law enforcement was already aware of.
