Watch 'Saltburn' star Jacob Elordi's parents crash his 2022 Today interview
Jacob Elordi: In January 2022, Jacob Elordi, who was still relatively unknown to a family name, crashed his Today appearance to discuss his work on the HBO teen drama "Euphoria" Season 2.
After breaking down how he tackled his American accent for the role, which he learned from listening to a lot of Eminem and accepting Hoda Kotb's acknowledgment that one of her questions was "a little personal, maybe inappropriate," Elordi's eyes widened and he blurted out, "Can you see them?" "It's my mom and dad."

Elordi then turned his camera to show his parents Jan and Melissa Elordi, who looked unimpressed through the alternative camera view.
"You guys are very interested!" Elordi chuckled, then turning to Jenna Bush Hager, asked, "What do they think about their son being a Hollywood heartthrob?"
"Beautiful!" Melissa responded off-camera.
The 'Saltburn' star has risen to fame alongside his three older sisters, sharing the limelight with his GQ-featured siblings. His dad, Jan, hails from Basque country situated between Spain and France, moving to Australia. Jan worked as a house painter while Melissa stayed at home with the kids.
In a 2020 interview with GQ, Elordi remembered how his mom volunteered at his school's lunch hour every day so they could spend time together.
"(She) was the most present, loving, just beautiful, angelic human of all these beings," he said with a twinkle during the publication's chat.
Elordi noted that both his parents still sport T-shirts with characters he's played nearly on every one.
"Jacob always had this really solid sense of self but, definitely, as parents, you try and ground them and be realistic, and we were very realistic," Jan told Daily Mail in March 2022. "And he always knew what he wanted to do. And he would say to me, 'Why can't I be that one? Why can't I be the one in a million?'
"He had such confidence in himself," Jan continued. "So, as a parent, we've just supported him and believed that he knows what he's doing."
