Threat of throwing a woman off a plane for not wearing a bra

A female passenger of Delta Air claimed that she was threatened to be removed from the flight for not wearing a bra. The woman, named Arkbolde (38), alleges that the incident occurred last January during her journey.

She stated, 'I was wearing baggy jeans and a loose white T-shirt, and I wasn't wearing a bra. At that time, a female agent asked me to disembark the flight and cover my chest. Even though my chest wasn't bare.'

She further stated, 'According to her assumption, because I didn't look like what she expected of a woman, she threatened me with being taken off the plane.'

Arkbolde is a professional DJ. She was traveling from Salt Lake City to San Francisco on the day of the incident. At that time, a Delta Air agent informed her that her body was visible underneath her clothing. And in that situation, they couldn't allow any passenger to board the plane.

However, the agent stated that if she covered her body with a jacket, she would be allowed to board the plane.

The woman is now attempting to discuss the matter with the president of Delta Air.

Arkbolde's attorney, Gloria Allard, has stated that the issue primarily revolves around the discrimination faced by women and men. Arkbolde wants to meet with the president of Delta Air to address this.

She said, 'Men passengers don't have to cover their T-shirts with jackets. Nor do they have to wear bras. So, women should be given the opportunity to board the plane without bras.'

The attorney further added, 'Women's breasts are not weapons or dangerous objects. Sometimes women don't want to control their breasts on the plane. And having breasts is not a crime for women.'

On the other hand, a source informed the AFP news agency that this woman had repeatedly sought apologies from them after the incident.
