On Friday, Harry and Meghan, who now reside in California, began a three-day trip to Nigeria where they are exploring like first-time visitors.

Harry and Meghan's trip has no official ties to the British royal family, and instead, they have been invited by the Chief of Defense Staff of the country, the highest-ranking military officer.

During their three-day journey, the couple is not only engaging with military personnel but also speaking with locals, including women leaders, job seekers, and women entrepreneurs.

On Friday, Harry and Meghan visited a school in the capital Abuja, kicking off a mental health symposium organized by a local charity, GEANCO, in partnership with their Archewell Foundation. The couple was serenaded with joy and dance by children.

Harry spoke with students and teachers about breaking the stigma around mental health and how important it is to acknowledge how you're feeling.

"In every single one of these classrooms, every single person, regardless of age, has mental health," he said. "So, it's important for you to take care of yourself in order to be able to show others. And it's important for you to be able to show others to be able to show yourself, and there's no shame in admitting that today's a bad day."

Stress may not be why it may be with you, so if you take something away from today, then know that mental health affects everyone in the world."

During a kindergarten class visit, children greeted the couple with a joyful game of "Jump Up, Spin Around" holding hands.


Harry asked a student, "Is singing and dancing your favorite class?"


Meghan added that their daughter Lili, who is soon to be 3 years old, also enjoys "all the jumping."


They also visited a STEM class where students shared their homemade robot cars, and Meghan revealed that their son Archie, now 5, also enjoys building.


The couple was presented with a traditional wooden mask and books about Nigerian traditions.


What more can be expected from Harry and Meghan's journey

During Harry's journey, he will also meet with injured soldiers at a local military hospital, assure ABC News of Sussex's role and plan to meet with the Chief of Defense Staff.


On Saturday, the couple plans to join a training session for Nigerian polo players: Ankwunquo, a charity approved by Invictus Games, a Paralympic-style competition Harry founded in 2014.


Meghan is considering hosting an event as co-host with the CEO of a global commerce organization focused on women.


On Sunday, their last day in Nigeria, Harry and Meghan will participate in a basketball clinic and a "cultural celebration" event.
