A video has surfaced from Friday’s shooting incident at Florida State University, where a bystander is seen sipping coffee while recording footage of a victim lying on the ground.
The mass shooting, carried out by the son of a local deputy sheriff, resulted in two deaths and several injuries, with many of the wounded receiving treatment at a local hospital.
The video, shared on X by Collin Rugg, suggests that the victim in the footage survived, as other clips show him receiving medical attention.

Authorities in the southeastern U.S. state reported that the gunman, identified as Phinix Eichner, went on a rampage at Florida State University, shooting at students before being wounded by local law enforcement officers.
Officials stated that the campus was placed on lockdown following the shooting. First responders arrived at the scene quickly, and students were instructed to take shelter in a secure location to ensure their safety.
Suspect: Son of a Police Officer
Leon County Sheriff Walt McNeil told reporters that the 20-year-old Eichner was a university student and the son of one of his “outstanding” 18-year-old staff members.
“Unfortunately, his son had access to a firearm, and it was among the weapons found at the scene,” McNeil said.

He further explained that the suspect was part of the sheriff’s office training program, adding, “It’s not surprising that he had access to weapons.” Eichner was taken to a hospital after being shot. His condition was not immediately known.
Eyewitnesses recalled the horror, saying that people began running across the sprawling campus as soon as they heard gunshots near the student union.
“Everyone started running from the student union,” said an eyewitness named Wayne, quoted by local news outlet WCTV.

“About a minute later, we heard around eight to ten gunshots,” the eyewitness added.
Police reported that the two deceased individuals were not students but declined to provide further details. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
